Report: What Emile Smith Rowe’s camp are now saying to Crystal Palace and Fulham after summer transfer bids

So far this summer, Arsenal have reportedly already rejected bids from both Crystal Palace and Fulham to sign England midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.

If you told an Arsenal supporter three or four years ago that they would one day be offloading Smith Rowe to improve their squad, well they probably wouldn’t have believed you.

Smith Rowe was once held in the same breath as Bukayo Saka – a key part of Arsenal’s future.

And whilst Smith Rowe’s talent hasn’t necessarily disappeared, it seems his first team chances under Mikel Arteta have.

Understandably, it feels as if this summer may therefore represent the end of the midfielder’s time in north London, who may still stay in the capital.

Both Fulham and Crystal Palace have had bids rejected for Smith Rowe, who Arsenal are thought to be demanding around £35m-£40m for.

The England international reportedly has a contract until 2026, meaning the Gunners can still dig their feet in over his valuation, a player who they will still be reluctant to let go.

Emile Smith Rowe’s camp haven’t encouraged a move away from Arsenal

All that being said, The Sun have now detailed what Smith Rowe’s camp have been informing both of the interested clubs mentioned.

In Sunday’s printed addition (page 57, 21/07), the paper states that neither Palace or Fulham have received any encouragement from the player’s side of things.

Amid all of the speculation over Smith Rowe possibly leaving, it has perhaps been forgotten that the midfielder may still prefer to stay and fight for his place at Arsenal.

And judging by this report, perhaps that is the case.

Interestingly, when scoring for Arsenal in their 2-0 win over Leyton Orient in a behind closed doors friendly on Saturday, Smith Rowe wore the captain’s armband towards the end.

Perhaps this was a signal of both Arsenal and Smith Rowe’s position – who may still decide not to sell the midfielder who grew up a stone’s throw away from Palace in Thornton Heath.

It’s clear that Smith Rowe would be a brilliant signing for both Fulham or Palace, who could similarly provide a stellar platform for the 23-year-old to return to the England fold.

That all being said, Thomas Partey is another player who could leave Arsenal this summer.

And TBR Football has just detailed what Arsenal now have planned for Partey’s future.
