Revealed: Potter and 48-yr-old on three-man Leicester manager shortlist

Graham Potter, David Moyes and Ruud van Nistelrooy are all on the managerial shortlist at Leicester City, sources have told Football Insider.

The Foxes sacked Steve Cooper on Sunday (24 November) with the club one point and two places above the relegation zone.

It is believed the unrest in the Leicester dressing room was the key factor in Cooper’s dismissal.

Footage which emerged on Sunday showed first-team stars partying in Copenhagen allegedly just hours after the 2-1 defeat against Chelsea on Saturday (23 November).

A sign displaying the words ‘Enzo I miss u’ can be seen in the images – a likely reference to ex-boss Enzo Maresca, who left the King Power Stadium in the off-season.

Potter is understood to be high on the list for Leicester chiefs after he was targeted for the role following Maresca’s departure.

The Foxes have previously held talks with the 49-year-old, who has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023.

Moyes, 61, will also be in the running due to his proven track record in the Premier League – with the ex-West Ham boss taking charge at the London Stadium in a similar position to the one Leicester are now in.

Van Nistelrooy, 48, is the wildcard candidate but impressed during his time as Man United caretaker boss before Ruben Amorim arrived on a permanent basis.

Leicester have won just two of their 12 Premier League games this term and face Brentford in London on Saturday (30 November).
