Wolves have placed Brentford star Yoane Wissa at the top of their winger target list, sources have told Football Insider.
The Midlands club are assessing the market for a Pedro Neto replacement after reluctantly selling the winger to Chelsea earlier this month.
Despite the big-money sale, it is believed finances will dictate what Wolves can do before the end of the window on 30 August.
Wissa, 27, has been identified as a top target after his goalscoring exploits with Brentford since joining in 2021.
He boosted his value further with the winner and an assist in the 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday (18 August).
Sources say Wolves boss Gary O’Neil is a “big fan” of the DR Congo international.
He made 30 starts in 36 total appearances for Brentford in the 2023-24 campaign.

Wissa notched 12 goals and three assists in those outings and also scored twice for his country at the African Cup of Nations.
The 27-year-old’s contract at Brentford runs until June 2026.
He primarily plays as a left winger but can also star as a centre-forward and on the right wing.
O’Neil’s side started the 2024-25 campaign with a 2-0 away loss against Arsenal on Saturday (17 August).
Wolves lined up with new signing Rodrigo Gomes on the left side of their three-pronged attack.
