‘Sensational’ player is more likely to sign for Tottenham than any other English club – journalist

Tottenham Hotspur are the leading candidates from within the Premier League to sign a very exciting attacking player.

Spurs have been linked with Rennes’ Desire Doue for a while now.

Ange Postecoglou’s side are said to be very keen on the young attacker, and, by the sounds of it, there’s a serious chance that they can get this deal done.

Indeed, speaking on Last Word on Spurs, Ben Jacobs has shared an update on Doue’s situation, and he says that Tottenham are the frontrunners of any team in the Premier League in the race for Doue’s signature.

Tottenham most likely English club to sign Desire Doue

Jacobs shared what he knows about the Frenchman.

“This is a sensational prospect I can say and Tottenham fans can be very excited because he is a definite Tottenham target,

“Bayern and PSG are the other clubs to be aware of with Chelsea, they have a lot of targets. You have to look over your shoulder with Chelsea because they can come out of nowhere on deals, but right now, Tottenham are the frontrunner from any Premier League interest, while Bayern are very serious about Desire Doue as well.”

Doue deal won’t be easy

Tottenham may be favourites to sign Doue from within the Premier League, but that may not mean they’re favourites to do a deal.

Indeed, as Jacobs says, both Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested, and if either of those two teams enter the race, Tottenham may not be able to sign this player.

Bayern Munich and PSG, with all due respect to Tottenham, are much more appealing destinations for a player like Doue, who will surely want to play Champions League football next season if he can.

Spurs do have a shot at getting this deal done, but Bayern and PSG’s presence in this race doesn’t bode well for the north London club.
