Talks underway over transfer as Everton want to sign 2022 World Cup winner - journalist

Everton, Nottingham Forest and Borussia Dortmund are all keen on signing Sevilla defender Gonzalo Montiel, according to Uriel Lugt.

The Mercado de Pases journalist took to X on 25 August to claim that talks are underway over the Argentina international’s potential exit from Sevilla this month.

No formal offer has been made for the 27-year-old right-back thus far.

Lugt wrote: “Everton and Borussia Dortmund add to the interest in Gonzalo Montiel.

“Talks are already underway for the full-back to leave Sevilla permanently. Nottingham Forrest is also in the running. There is no formal offer yet.”
