Tottenham finalising deal to sign Sebastian Szymanski in ‘Bombshell’ new transfer

Tottenham are closing in on a deal to sign Fenerbahçe’s Sebastian Szymanski in what’s being called a “bombshell” new transfer, according to Aspor.

The Turkish website reported on Tuesday (July 9) that the 25-year-old Polish star, who impressed last season, is set to leave the Turkish club in a major move.

Tottenham, who have been keen on Szymanski for a while, are finalising terms with Fenerbahçe after offering £21million plus bonuses.

Reports say the midfielder, known for scoring goals, is expected to join the North London side soon.

What could Sebestian Szymanski bring to Tottenham?

Szymanski could really lift Tottenham’s midfield, especially as they’re looking to add new players this summer.

While they’re keen on Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher [OneFootball], Szymanski could be a great alternative. Polish football expert Kamil Kosowski has previously claimed that Szymanski would see joining Spurs under Ange Postecoglou as a big step in his career.

He added that now would be the perfect time for Szymanski to make this move, given his current form [Przeglad Sportowy].

Tottenham seem ready to spend up to £30 million to bring him on board, showing how serious they are about him.

Szymanski’s first season with Fenerbahçe in Turkey has been impressive, with 12 goals and 14 assists, showing he can score and create chances. His stats also highlight his ability to win tackles, making him a versatile addition to Tottenham’s midfield.
