Tottenham start exploring move to sign Premier League striker who Thierry Henry called 'brilliant' - Fabrizio Romano
This came out of the blue! ????????
Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to bring in a striker this summer and Ange Postecoglou may have identified his man.
The Lilywhites have found themselves without an out and out striker during their four pre-season games with Richarlison still injured.
That has not stopped Tottenham from finding the back of the net, but there is now just a matter of weeks until Spurs open their season against Leicester City.
And it now seems as if Ange Postecoglou may have just identified the striker who he would like to see lead his line against the Foxes.
Tottenham now plotting move for Premier League striker
Having sold Harry Kane last summer to Bayern Munich, there has been a real question mark surrounding who will lead the Spurs attack for the years to come.
Richarlison enjoyed a decent spell last season where he netted nine goals in 10 Premier League games.
However, the Brazilian’s injury issues have not answered the long-term need for Spurs up top.
But it now seems as if Spurs could look to another Premier League striker to answer their problems.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham are now exploring a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
The Englishman is now one of Tottenham’s targets for the summer but a deal is expected to be really difficult for Spurs to pull off.
No bid has been sent from the north London side but Spurs are exploring other options, too.
As well as a striker, Romano says the Lilywhites are also exploring their options to sign another winger over the coming weeks.
What Thierry Henry said about Dominic Solanke
The Premier League legend Thierry Henry has had some positive things to say about Solanke in the past with the former Arsenal man hailing him ‘brilliant’.
Although Spurs fans may not be fond of Henry, when it comes to scoring goals, he knows a thing or two.
Solanke enjoyed a positive 2023/24 campaign where he was able to return an impressive 19 goals and three assists in the league alone.
The big question mark over Solanke is whether he can maintain those levels season-on-season or whether it was just a good run for the striker.
But at 26-years-old and with three years left on his deal, it is not a deal which is likely to come cheap for Spurs.
