Tottenham want Fulham star Joachim Andersen in new transfer update

Tottenham are showing an interest in Fulham defender Joachim Andersen along with Liverpool, according to CaughtOffside.

The news outlet reports [19 November] that Spurs have the centre-back on their wishlist as a potential option to bolster the defence in the coming months.

While the Lilywhites have an eye on the Denmark international, there’s no guarantee that he’ll end up being the club’s priority.

Joachim Andersen deserves Tottenham interest

Andersen has established himself as one of the best in the Premier League over the years, with his time at Crystal Palace catching the attention of many people.

The Danish national only recently moved to Fulham this summer, and it’d be surprising to see the Cottagers let him leave unless they receive an offer they can’t refuse.

Marco Silva has put immense faith in the centre-back and has started him in seven of the West London club’s last eight fixtures in the league.

Ange Postecoglou has Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven at his disposal at Tottenham, and the Australian has relied on the pair in defence.

The Argentine and Dutchman have a lot of quality, but both are injury-prone, which can leave Spurs a bit exposed at the back.

Radu Dragusin is one of the options for Postecoglou in the squad, although the Romanian’s recent performances haven’t filled supporters with confidence.

There have also been talks regarding a possible departure from the Lilywhites in recent weeks [La Gazzetta dello Sport, 4 November], and if that were to happen, then the club could likely look at Andersen as an option.
