'Understand...' - Doctor delivers verdict as Rangers set to sign sensation from British club

The Rangers medical staff will pay close attention to Alfie Hutchison’s off-field habits as he’s set to join from Hearts, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert has offered the 15-year-old advice to focus on his strength and condition, nutrition and mental health, among other things as he aims to become a professional player.

This comes after Hearts Standard reported on 3 June that Gers are set to secure the signing of the highly-rated young attacker this summer.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

The key with younger players like Hutchison who are still developing and maturing physically and mentally is to understand where they fit along that spectrum and context and how that projects forward.

The advice I would give someone of that age is to build great habits on and off the pitch, understanding that the actual football is just one part of being a great pro and having a long career.

Things like strength and conditioning, nutrition, mental health, sleep, and recovery all underlie the footballing aspects.

“The Rangers medical staff will also have to keep a close eye on this as he will be earmarked as a potential first-team player in the future.”

Rangers sign Alfie Hutchison as one for the future

Once Hutchison moves to Ibrox, the next steps for the 15-year-old are likely to involve integrating into the club’s youth ranks.

He will be expected to continue his development under Gers’ academy system, focusing on improving his skills and adapting to the club’s style of play.

Hutchison may also participate in youth competitions and potentially train with the senior team to gain experience.

The ultimate goal for him will be to progress through the ranks and eventually make his first-team debut, although this is likely to be a gradual process given his age and the competition within the squad.

In other Rangers news, a Premier League midfielder with “great quality” is now up for grabs this summer amid a recent development with a move to Ibrox on the cards.
