With plenty of incomings and outgoings at Rangers this summer their starting line-up for the opening 2024/25 Scottish Premiership match is set to feature many changes.

Philippe Clement has begun his first summer transfer window in charge of the Gers by conducting plenty of business already.

With contracts coming to an end, big players like John Lundstram, Borna Barisic and Ryan Jack have departed at the end of their deals.

Additions have also been confirmed already with Jefte and Clinton Nsiala moving to Ibrox early on in the window.

With the players who have been linked to the Light Blues this summer, their starting XI could look very different for their opening game of the 24/25 season.

Rangers potential starting XI after summer signings

A deal to sign Liam Kelly on a free transfer from Motherwell has moved closer to completion [Daily Record]. This could allow Jack Butland to depart if a bid comes in and see the new signing start.

The defence in front of him could remain largely the same but with new signing Jefte featuring at left-back.

Alongside him could be mainstay options under Clement like James Tavernier, Connor Goldson and Leon Balogun.

One deal that appears to be moving closer to completion is Connor Barron who has agreed terms on a move to Ibrox from Aberdeen [Daily Record].

With the Gers signing Mohammed Diomande on a permanent deal this summer, they could form a useful midfield duo next season.

Todd Cantwell could stay at Ibrox and keep his regular starting role while Dujon Sterling and Ross McCausland feature out wide.

Clement has striker options already at the club in Cyriel Dessers and Danilo but either one could leave to accommodate Lawrence Shankland.
