View: Sean Dyche surely concerned about Everton star after development today

Sean Dyche must be concerned about Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite after training indoors away from the first team on international duty with England.

The 22-year-old has managed just two starts in the Premier League this season as he continues to deal with a groin injury.

The Englishman came in from the start in the goalless draw against West Ham, keeping a clean sheet in his fourth appearance of the campaign.

Supporters are delighted to see the centre back fit and starting games but after the latest international update, Dyche and the fans are likely to be concerned.

The defender has been called up to the Three Lions’ squad for the November break but it appears he isn’t in a condition to feature.

England confirmed via X on 12 November that the Everton man is working indoors away from the other 23 players, with Liverpool’s Jarell Quansah replacing him in the squad for the session.

Although this doesn’t necessarily confirm that the Toffees’ star is injured, the fact that he isn’t able to feature on the grass with his teammates is a concern.

Given that he has been missing for seven Premier League games already, it would prove to be a blow if he was to pick up another injury.

With that being said, it does beg the question why Everton allowed their star defender to depart for the national side when he isn’t fully fit.

The facilities at St George’s Park are top notch so Branthwaite is arguably in the best place possible but it is still a situation which will frustrate and concern Dyche until the end of the international break.
