View: Vilahamn has a player for the future at Tottenham Women after int'l announcement

Robert Vilahamn must ensure to keep an eye on Tottenham Women forward Araya Dennis.

As per the club’s official website (8 July), Dennis has been named in the England Women’s youth squad for the Women’s European Under-19 Championship finals in Lithuania.

The Young Lionesses will face Lithuania Women, Serbia Women and France Women during the group stages of the competition.

Dennis is part of a 20-player squad at the tournament.

Robert Vilahamn must keep an eye on Araya Dennis at Tottenham Women

Dennis signed a professional contract with Tottenham in February 2024.

The 18-year-old then spent the second half of the season on loan with Crystal Palace Women, scoring twice in 20 appearances.

And Spurs boss Vilahamn is likely to have been impressed by what he saw.

As per Sofascore, during a 2-0 win against Lewes Women in the FA Women’s Championship (21 April), Dennis came off the bench in the 29th minute and completed 100 per cent of her dribbles.

In addition, she won seven ground duels and played one key pass.

With some Championship experience under her belt, Vilahamn might be tempted to throw Dennis in at the deep end next season to see how she handles life in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

Even if next season comes a bit too soon for Dennis, it is exciting for the club to know that they have a talented young player on their hands in North London.
