Robert Vilahamn will be desperate for Tottenham Women to keep hold of Grace Clinton.

It was a promising first season in England for Vilahamn.

He helped Spurs reach the Adobe Women’s FA Cup final and record a sixth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

The Swede will be keen to improve on that next season, and as a result, he will want to keep hold of Clinton.

The Manchester United Women youngster spent the season on loan in North London, with the Standard previously reporting (16 April) that Tottenham were keen to make her stay permanent.

If Spurs could bring Clinton to the club permanently, it would be huge.

The 21-year-old scored five goals and provided five assists in 24 matches last season and has demonstrated plenty of potential and room for growth.

She ended her loan stay with Spurs on a high, grabbing an assist on the final day of the WSL season during a 3-1 victory over West Ham United Women (18 May).

As per Sofascore, Clinton also completed 72 per cent of her passes, with two of those key, and provided two accurate crosses into the box against the Hammers.

Clinton seemed to love playing against West Ham, grabbing two goals and an assist during a 4-3 victory over them earlier in the season (21 January).

That day she once again played two key passes, and also succeded with 10 of her 11 dribble attempts and won 20 ground duels.

She demonstrated what she can do last season, and Spurs supporters will hope that Clinton becomes a permanent member of the squad.
