Tottenham supporters will surely be sick of the sight of Daniel Levy.

The release of a club’s brand-new kit ahead of the upcoming season is meant to be an exciting thing.

However, for Spurs’ supporters, it has been anything but so far.

While fans will be desperate to get their hands on a new shirt and represent their club’s colours, it seems as if Levy is equally as desperate to profit off loyal supporters in the process.

Costs are continuing to increase in football, and the money involved in the game has arguably spiralled out of control.

However, that is no reason to charge the extortionate prices which Spurs are charging for their new kit.

Their home strip was released earlier this month (4 June), with Football London journalist Alasdair Gold pointing out via his official X (4 June) the “mad” price of the shirt.

And, perhaps unsurprisingly, the away kit isn’t any cheaper.

Daniel Levy once again charging Tottenham supporters extortionate prices

Less than a week after the club confirmed (20 June) that matchday ticket prices were set for a hike next season, Tottenham have rolled out their latest cash grab.

The 2024/25 away kit was unveiled via the official website on Monday (24 June), and for any supporter hoping it would be slightly cheaper than the home kit, those hopes were quickly dashed.

In all honesty, there is no reason why the away shirt would have been any cheaper, but at the same time, there is also no reason why it should be as expensive as it is.

As per Football London (24 June), “As with the home tops, the away shirts cost an eye-watering £125 for elite men’s and women’s tops to replicate what the players wear and £85 for the ‘stadium’ versions for the fans.”

Tottenham
Daniel Levy will have once again angered Tottenham supporters

That is an extraordinary amount of money which means that any supporter looking to kit themselves out in both shirts will need to spend £170.

And that is just for the cheapest adult shirt, if a fan wanted to spend a bit more on both kits, that would cost them £250.

That is simply unaffordable for most people, especially those who want to buy shirts for their kids as well, and it is yet another example of Levy pricing out supporters.

In other Tottenham news, supporters have been urged to take action after another decision made by Levy.
