Earlier, Soccernet.ng reported that Rema, along with fellow Nigerian artists Davido and Olamide, was seen at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, where they watched Barcelona secure a thrilling victory over Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly. The match featured standout performances from young talents Pau Victor and Nico Paz, with Victor scoring twice.

Rema, who expressed his excitement about supporting Barcelona, stated, “It’s your boy Rema all the way from Nigeria. I am so happy to be here supporting Barça. One love. I am sure it is going to be a great game.” His pre-match prediction turned out to be accurate, adding to the excitement of the event.

Rema’s single “Calm Down,” featuring Selena Gomez, has achieved remarkable success in the United States, selling 7,000,000 units and earning a 7-time platinum certification from the RIAA. This milestone brings the song closer to becoming the first African track to receive an RIAA diamond certification.
