Wenham claims Tottenham hold 'Advantage' in race to sign Eberechi Eze

John Wenham believes Tottenham hold an advantage over their Premier League rivals in the pursuit of Eberechi Eze.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims the 26-year-old being represented by CAA Base Ltd provides Ange Postecoglou’s side with an edge in the race for his signature.

James Maddison, Son Heung-min, Postecoglou and Pedro Porro are just some of the key Tottenham figures also represented by CAA Base.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes this could prove key for the North London side.

“Eze can play in numerous positions, and he is a homegrown, Premier League experienced player who wouldn’t need to relocate and would be earning a much higher salary,” Wenham said.

“In addition, he is represented by CAA Base, who represent some of the most high-profile players at Spurs. That offers the club an advantage

“Therefore, I could see us signing Eze. You have to be careful not to get blown out of the water by Manchester United, Chelsea or Liverpool.

“However, Tottenham want him, they have laid the groundwork, and I can see the deal getting done”

Will Tottenham sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace?

This would be a huge signing and statement of intent from Tottenham.

Eze is one of, if not the most, talented Premier League player outside of the traditional ‘top six.’

Bringing him to the club would send out a message to the rest of the division.

It would be a marquee signing which would excite supporters ahead of next season.

Therefore, Daniel Levy should already be on the phone getting a deal done.
