Wenham expects four more Tottenham players to be sold in next two weeks

John Wenham believes Tottenham will confirm another four player sales in the next couple of weeks.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose has been delighted with the club’s outgoing transfer business so far.

Unwanted senior players such as Joe Rodon, Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon and Japhet Tanganga have all been moved on by the club.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – expects several more players to join that list in the coming weeks.

“It is still really early in the transfer window,” Wenham said.

“Pre-season has only just started, and I think the club have made fantastic progress moving on several players who had no futures at the club.

“I’m expecting another four players to be sold over the next two weeks. Then we would be looking at a squad which isn’t carrying any deadwood.”

Ange Postecoglou to continue his Tottenham clearout

Ange Postecoglou will be keen to build on his first season in charge of Tottenham during the 2024/25 campaign.

To do that, the Australian will need a squad of players who he feels can play his style of football. Several players have been moved on, but there are still several players whose futures need to be resolved.

Players such as Giovani Lo Celso, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Bryan Gil all face uncertain futures, and Postecoglou will no doubt want those situations clarified sooner rather than later.

If those players who aren’t a part of Postecoglou’s plans can be moved on before August, it would allow the club an opportunity to use some of the funds raised to bring in players who will contribute next season.
