Wenham hails 'Outstanding' Tottenham ace as pre-season footage emerges

John Wenham has hailed Archie Gray after pre-season footage of the Tottenham ace emerged.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose believes the 18-year-old will play a big part under Ange Postecoglou this season.

Gray started as Tottenham recorded a 3-2 victory over Vissel Kobe in Tokyo on Saturday (27 July).

And as per SzyFilmz via X (27 July), the versatile youngster could be seen skipping through the midfield with some impressive footwork late on during the first half.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – has been impressed with what he has seen so far.

“Gray has been outstanding during pre-season so far,” Wenham said.

“You can tell that he is a proper player. He looks confident, he has good posture, and he communicates well with his teammates even though he is still only 18 years old.

“He looks very established in the squad already. I think he will play a lot of football for Spurs this season, whether that be as an inverted right-back or in midfield.

“Overall he looks to be a fantastic signing.”

Archie Gray to play regularly under Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham?

Gray has been impressive throughout pre-season thus far.

He has featured in all three matches which Ange Postecoglou’s side have played and seems to have already settled in well to his brand-new surroundings at Tottenham.

Although he is still just 18, Postecoglou could look to throw the Englishman in at the deep end this season.

His versatility could prove key, and with UEFA Europa League football on the agenda, there won’t be any shortage of minutes to go around.
