Wenham wants two Tottenham players sold before pre-season amid 'Depressing' claim

John Wenham wants Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil to be sold by Tottenham before pre-season.

The owner of the reputable Spurs podcast Lilywhite Rose claims neither player offers anything to the club.

Reguilon spent half of last season on loan with Manchester United before moving to Brentford in January. Meanwhile, Gil remained with Tottenham but would make just 11 Premier League appearances.

And Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – wants the pair sold as soon as possible.

“Gil and Reguilon have not been linked with any clubs,” Wenham said.

“These are two players who absolutely must be sold this window. They both offer the club nothing.

“It is going to be very depressing when the pre-season photos are released and those two are still with the club.

“Hopefully we hear updates on the two of them before then so that Ange Postecoglou doesn’t have to work with any players who don’t have a future at the club.”

Will both Sergio Reguilon and Bryan Gil leave Tottenham this summer?

Of the two players, Reguilon’s future is the more pressing concern.

The Spaniard has just one year remaining on his contract in North London and Daniel Levy will not want to lose the player for free.

He should be first to go, but Gil shouldn’t be too far behind him.

While the winger still has two years on his Spurs deal, it is clear that he does not have a future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Keeping him would therefore be a waste of time for everybody, and the club must absolutely make his transfer a priority as well.
