West Ham fans savage Emerson for what he did in 3-1 defeat vs Man City

West Ham fans were less than impressed with Emerson Palmeiri’s performance against Man City after having a significant role in Erling Haaland’s first-half brace.

The defending Premier League champions defeated the Irons 3-1 as they continued their perfect start to the new season.

However, West Ham fans felt that Emerson could have done a better job for both goals.

The first goal saw the left-back make a loose pass that Bernardo Silva latched onto before assisting Haaland.

The second saw the Norway striker score from inside the box, where Emerson could be seen standing off Haaland and not marking tight enough.

An own goal from Ruben Dias did give West Ham fans some hope of getting a result, but they weren’t able to match Pep Guardiola’s men.

West Ham fans blamed Emerson for both of Man City’s first-half goals

Emerson has been a regular in the Hammers lineup since he joined the club in 2022, making 84 appearances for the club.

Supporters weren’t pleased with what they saw from him against Man City though, going as far as to claim it was his worst-ever game for the club.
