Scott Wright looks set to leave Rangers in a move to Birmingham City, according to The Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported on 27 August that the 27-year-old looks set to leave the Gers after the League One side made a late swoop for the winger.
The Scot has just one year left on his £6,000-a-week (£312,000-a-year) contract at Ibrox [Ibrox Noise, 1 July] and has been linked with plenty of sides throughout the window.
Scott Wright to leave Rangers for Birmingham City
Wright has been continuously discussed in transfer conversations with other clubs and now it looks like he has played his last game for the club.
The attacker looks set to be following Ben Davies to Birmingham to play for former Celtic coach Chris Davies in the English third tier.
This move won’t come as a surprise to many Light Blues supporters given the transfer links that have engulfed the Rangers man throughout the summer.
It is unclear what sort of fee is being received which will ultimately decide how positive of a piece of business this deal is for the club.
The Ibrox hierarchy will be looking to bring in as much profit as possible given their recent issues which were only made worse by being knocked out of the Champions League.
On the other hand, Philippe Clement will be desperate for as much money as possible to reinvest in his squad with them sitting third in the Scottish Premiership.
In other Rangers news, Todd Cantwell could now exit Rangers as transfer approach made.
