Alasdair Gold: 'Brilliant' Tottenham player is now 'expected' to leave on loan after development on Friday

Tottenham Hotspur have now secured one of their top talents down to a new deal as interest grows in his services.

It has not exactly been an electric start to the summer transfer window at Tottenham with only one new face coming through the doors in Archie Gray.

There has been a big focus on player exits in the early stages of the window with Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou working on getting players out the door.

And that has certainly been the case with outcasts like Tanguy Ndombele and Ryan Sessegnon just two of the players allowed to walk this summer.

But behind the scenes at Spurs there are some seriously talented youngsters who could be in line for promising things to come at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

One of those players has now been tied down to a new deal in north London but could nbe headed for the exit door on loan.

Tottenham prospect now set for loan departure

Last season was a seriously exciting one of the Spurs youth sides with Wayne Burnett’s U21s winning the Premier League 2.

In his squad were some really promising individuals with the likes of Jamie Donley having already made his debut for the first team.

Even further down the age list is 16-year-old Mikey Moore who has proven to be one of the most exciting talents in the country already.

And there is serious interest being attracted to some of these young talents, but Spurs have managed to tie one of them down.

According to the reliable Alasdair Gold, there is now the expectation Will Lankshear will leave Spurs on loan for the season.

On Friday, it was announced the young striker had just inked a new five-year deal with the club.

There is said to be a big expectation Lankshear could really push on with the right guidance over the coming years, too.

And that could well see him leave on loan now with a number of Championship and League One sides showing an interest.

Tottenham need to find Will Lankshear the best possible loan

Spurs have seen some of their promising young strikers leave on loan over the years and really struggle to find their feet in the men’s game.

This can be seen through Dane Scarlett who was unable to secure any regular football last season with Ipswich Town.

And then there was Troy Parrott who had to leave for the Netherlands after coming across his own difficulties in the EFL.

It seems as if there could be some exciting potential loan moves on the table for Lankshear, however, picking the biggest club may not be the best option for him.

He needs to ensure he gets the minutes he needs to continue his development and play under a manager who will give him the guidance needed.

The 2023/24 campaign was a ‘brilliant‘ one for the young striker and Spurs will be crossing everything the 2024/25 term brings him even more success.
