Ange Postecoglou future in doubt after what Son did in Tottenham v Rangers

Tottenham captain Son Heung-Min appeared to ignore manager Ange Postecoglou after the 1-1 draw with Rangers.

The Australian is under intense pressure after a run of five matches without a win since the 4-0 hammering of Manchester City on 23 November.

Postecoglou criticised Timo Werner after the match for an ‘unacceptable’ performance but the majority of his players were poor in the draw at Ibrox (12 December), especially the skipper.

In a video circulated on X, Postecoglou is attempting to talk to the South Korean attacker after the disappointing result but it appears that he is not interested in what his manager has to say.

Has Postecoglou lost the Tottenham dressing room?

When a manager loses the support of the players it is usually a sign that his spell in the dugout is coming to an end.

The South Korean forward is the club captain, a leader on and off the pitch who is supposed to set the standards.

The fact that he blatantly ignored Postecoglou immediately after the contest is a worrying sign for the Australian.

Combine that with the fact that called out Werner after the match and it is probably going to take something miraculous to turn it around in North London.

That would be a shame considering that Postecoglou brings an exciting brand of football and has never been backed to bring the players that he needs to make it work at Spurs.

However, it is hard to see how he gets the supporters and players back on board.
