According to Football Insider journalist and Scottish expert Daniel Bowers, the situation is creating “huge concern” for the Hoops supporters, as he explained on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

There have been no senior signings this summer by the defending Scottish Premiership champions, and there is also “very little word” on any potential movement, despite the window having been open for several weeks.

The feeling was that when Brendan Rodgers returned to the club, the experienced manager would have more say regarding transfers, but that has yet to happen.

Fans are hoping to see evidence that the situation will change in the time that remains in this window.

The jeopardy is more significant this season in the Champions League due to the format change, which means there’s no safety net of potentially finishing third in the group and dropping down to another European competition.

The forward, who currently plays for Norwich City, is said to be keen on making a return to Celtic, but it will depend on whether the Canaries want to keep him.
