'Crazy' - Derek Clark cannot believe what he saw at Rugby Park in Rangers v Kilmarnock

Derek Clark could not believe the number of empty seats at Rugby Park as Rangers lost 1-0 against Kilmarnock on Sunday 20 October.

The Rangers Review journalist shared that thousands of away fans missed out on tickets, to see hundreds of empty seats on live coverage of the game.

Philippe Clement’s men missed the chance to close the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership, now sitting six points behind Aberdeen and Celtic.

Writing on X, Clark wrote: “Crazy to see so many empty seats at Rugby Park given thousands of Rangers fans missed out on tickets.

“Make it make sense.”

Crazy developments at Rangers v Kilmarnock

Ticket arguments are becoming central to most debates in the Scottish Premiership this season.

After the Ibrox redevelopment delays and the move to Hampden Park, travelling supporters are now also facing difficulties to just watch their team.

The likes of Hearts, Hibernian and St Johnstone have all reduced capacity for away fans in recent years, which left both Rangers and Celtic disappointed.

It is no strange sight to see most away grounds packed out by Rangers fans, who frequently take more than the home support to most games in the Scottish Premiership.

That may start to change and based on what the fans are being treated to right now, some of them may not be too bothered.

Clement has to change something and do it shortly, with things nowhere near good enough for a Rangers team already lagging behind in the title race.

With FCSB and St Mirren coming up next for the Bears, nothing less than six points in the Europa League and the Scottish Premiership will be accepted.

In other Rangers news, this player has been backed to be the next Light Blues captain after James Tavernier.
