Bryan King claims Everton boss Sean Dyche could be at risk of being sacked after Everton were beaten 3-2 by Bournemouth at Goodison Park on Saturday (31 August).
The ex-Goodison scout believes something isn’t right on the pitch at Everton.
Dyche’s side were 2-0 up after 87 minutes against the Cherries. However, they went on to lose the match following a dramatic late collapse, which leaves the club rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.
And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – feels that Dyche will be concerned about his position with Everton.
“They have played three matches and lost three matches,” King said.
“It is far from the ideal start in the Premier League, they’ve got no points. Just as the club is being handled off the pitch, the team seems to be in disarray on the pitch.
“You’re 2-0 up with three minutes of normal time left to play, and you conceded three goals to lose at home? There is something not right on the pitch, that is for sure.
“In terms of Dyche, I think anyone would be in trouble when their side has lost their three opening games, especially when two of them have been at home. He has to start assessing his own position.”
Everton manager Sean Dyche to lose his job at Goodison Park?
It has been a dreadful start to the new season for Everton. Despite a relatively positive summer transfer window, which saw several fresh faces arrive at Goodison Park, the players seem to be all over the place.
They have been without Jarrad Branthwaite, which won’t be helping. However, there are no excuses for their late collapse against Bournemouth.
Things like that shouldn’t happen at Premier League level. As a result of the nature of the defeat, the Everton players’ confidence will be shattered.
Therefore, Dyche looks to have a lot to do to turn things around at Goodison Park.
In other Everton news, two players at the club are set to miss the clash against Aston Villa through injury.
