Doctor issues three-step plan as Rangers want to sign 'Outstanding' player Jose Mourinho admires

Rangers need to be patient with Bright Osayi-Samuel if they are to sign him this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the 26-year-old will need time to re-adapt to life in the United Kingdom after spending the last three years in Turkey at Fenerbahce.

This comes after Soccernet reported on 2 July that Jose Mourinho likes the Nigeria right-back and wants to keep him at the club.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Ibrox News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:

He will be moving to the UK from Turkey so there will be some adapting to do.

I’d recommend a few things in order to ensure he settles in well.

Firstly, give himself time to adapt to the new surroundings.

Secondly, bring family and/or friends with him who can help with the transition.

Thirdly, follow the guidelines of the fitness, physio, sports science, coaching staff, and sports psych units.

Bright-Osayi Samuel could share minutes with James Tavernier at Rangers

When the Nigerian was QPR, he put in a number of stellar performances and was described as “outstanding” by then-manager Mark Warburton and could be an incredible player for Philippe Clement too.

Gers should sign Osayi-Samuel this summer to bolster their right-back options.

He’s versatile, fast and can provide depth and competition for James Tavernier.

The 26-year-old’s potential to start ahead of Tavernier could also ease the latter’s workload, enhancing the team’s performance in the Europa League and domestic competitions.

In other Rangers news, a British defender has impressed scouts as Gers look to beat Celtic to a new transfer this summer.
