Euro club boss may not have say as Rangers eye multi-million deal to sign new striker - report

The decision to keep Rangers target Albion Rrahmani at the club may be taken out of Celtic legend Neil Lennon’s hands, according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reported on 17 June via its online edition that Lennon, who is in charge at Rapid Bucharest, may not be able to stop the Kosovo international from leaving if the right offer is made.

Gers have been credited with an interest in signing the £6.8million-rated 23-year-old as Philippe Clement is eyeing attacking reinforcements. [Digisport]

Albion Rrahmani can be the Lawrence Shankland backup for Rangers

Gers should prioritise signing Rrahmani due to his impressive goal-scoring record and potential impact on the team.

With Lawrence Shankland potentially not joining, Rrahmani’s proven ability to find the net consistently makes him an attractive option.

His 19 goals in 30 games for Rapid Bucharest last season demonstrate his prowess in front of goal, which is crucial for a team like Rangers aiming to compete at the highest level.

Moreover, Rrahmani’s age suggests he has room for further development, making him a long-term investment.

His versatility and adaptability, as shown by his successful transition from Kosovan club Ballkani to Rapid Bucharest, are also desirable traits.

However, Gers must be prepared for intense negotiations over the transfer fee which means that a lowball bid would make a lot of sense.

Rangers will be seeking transfer reinforcements this summer

Despite the potential cost, Rrahmani’s signing could prove a wise investment, addressing the club’s need for a reliable goal-scorer and strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.
