Everton have reached an agreement with Napoli to sign winger Jesper Lindstrom, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
Writing on his personal X account (18 July), the Sky Sports Italia journalist reports that the two clubs have found an agreement on a “costly loan with the right to buy” next summer.
But a deal isn’t closed yet, with the Toffees now in talks with the Denmark international to convince him to move to Goodison Park.
Everton to sign Jesper Lindstrom?
Sean Dyche has made it clear that adding to his attack this summer is a priority, and Lindstrom would do exactly that for the blues.
Dwight McNeil and Jack Harrison are the only current wide options available to Everton, with Youssef Chermiti also capable of playing there if necessary but more depth is needed.
Lindstrom is an international calibre talent who has experience playing at the very highest level, and on loan he would be a low risk signing.
There is money to spend at Goodison Park with the club set to receive around £50million for Amadou Onana [Fabrizio Romano, 13 July] when he officially joins Aston Villa, and the club are clearly not afraid to spend it.
With interest in Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto also widely reported [Alan Myers, 18 July] there could be even more to come in the upcoming days and weeks, but Kevin Thelwell now must get this one over the line.
In other Everton news, the club have made contact to sign a Copa America star midfielder.
