Everton have agreed to Hull’s demands for a deal for Jaden Philogene and are just waiting on the player’s decision, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Speaking on a Playback live stream (6 July), the reliable transfer journalist reports that the Toffees, Ipswich and Crystal Place have all agreed to meet the conditions asked for by Hull to get a deal done for the winger.

The player is now deciding on his next move, with a decision expected “soon” [Fabrizio Romano, 5 July] and an official offer already made [Fabrizio Romano, 3 July]

“Philogene has three options: Everton, Ipswich and Crystal Palace,” he said.

“All the clubs are prepared to meet the conditions asked for by the club [Hull]. So lets see what the player decides.”

Everton to seal Jaden Philogene transfer?

Sean Dyche has made it a priority to bolster his attacking options this summer, and Kevin Thelwell has made a good start to doing just that.

Iliman Ndiaye has already joined and Jack Harrison returned for another loan spell from Leeds, while Tim Iroegbunam has arrived to bolster the midfield too with Lewis Dobbin, Andre Gomes and Dele Alli all moving on.

But Arnaut Danjuma’s loan was also allowed to expire and he has left Goodison Park, which leaves a spot on the wings open for someone like Philogene to fill.

There is stiff competition for his signature but you can make the case that Goodison would be the best place for his development because of a lack of competition for places, although Dwight McNeil is very much a favourite of the manager.

It will be interesting to see how the club react if he chooses to go elsewhere, but they are very much in the race for his signature and things could heat up in the coming days.

In other Everton news, a Premier League player has rejected a move to the Toffees and signed elsewhere on a free transfer.
