Everton are not willing to allow Beto to leave on loan with an option to buy in January, with a permanent exit on the cards, according to Tuttosport.
The news outlet reports [10 December] that Torino have the Guinea-Bissau international on their radar, but the striker might be heading to Roma instead, with Dan Friedkin mentioned at the helm of the Giallorossi.
There has been no “talk” of Beto leaving Goodison Park on loan with an option to buy, but it is said he could be sold.
Since his arrival in 2023, the 26-year-old has been underwhelming at the Blues, and Kevin Thelwell could be considering his exit next month.
Everton need to part ways with Beto, but not in January
The Toffees’ experiment with the Guinean has failed miserably, having spent a considerable amount on signing him from Udinese.
After being a regular at points of last season, Sean Dyche seems to have lost faith in the 26-year-old, handing him just one Premier League start in the 2024/25 campaign.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been the preferred number nine again, but the 27-year-old has also been missing his shooting boots.
Everton find themselves in a precarious position in the Premier League, and one reason for their relegation battle is the lack of goals.
The Blues evidently need to reinforce their attack in January, but that can’t come at the cost of affecting the depth at Goodison Park.
Calvert-Lewin seems to be back to full fitness, but his past injury issues have been concerning.
The Toffees can’t let Beto depart next month to maintain strength up front, and any new additions shouldn’t come at the expense of the Guinean forward.
