Rangers cannot complain about Robin Propper’s disallowed goal in the 1-1 draw with Dundee United at Ibrox on Saturday, according to Keith Hackett.
With the scoreline reading 1-0 in the visitors’ favour, Propper thought he had equalised for the Light Blues when he headed home a Connor Barron cross late in injury time at the end of the first half.
However, the goal was disallowed after a VAR check deemed that Barron had handled the ball before delivering the cross and Hackett does not think there was anything wrong with the decision.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Hackett said: “Rangers score but in the build-up in the edge of the Dundee penalty area, a Rangers midfielder handles the ball with his right hand.
“Good detection by the match officials and correct decision to rule out Rangers ‘goal’.”
Nevertheless, Rangers went on to equalise through Vaclav Cerny in the 66th minute and shared the spoils with Jim Goodwin and Co on 23 November.
Although the Gers managed to come from behind to salvage a point, they would be disappointed to have not claimed all three points.
Celtic, meanwhile, went on to thrash Hearts 4-1 away from home that evening and moved 11 points ahead of the Ibrox outfit on the Scottish Premiership table.
Propper’s goal would have perhaps stood if Rangers had luck on their side. While that was not the case in this instance, they had the rub of the green in their 1-0 win against Hearts at home on 10 November before the international break.
Hackett believes Hearts should have been awarded a free-kick right at the edge of the Light Blues box at the stroke of full-time after Blair Spittal’s shot struck Kieran Dowell’s arm.
In other Rangers news, Jim White has shared what a Light Blues source has told him about new CEO Patrick Stewart.
