Spotted: Celebrity in attendance at Goodison for Everton v Nott'm Forest - report

Coleen Rooney was spotted in attendance at Goodison Park as Everton take on Nottingham Forest in Premier League action, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The news outlet reported via its blog [29 December] the sighting of Rooney at Goodison Park ahead of the encounter as the Toffees look to extend their four-game unbeaten run following an impressive draw against Manchester City.

Prior to the clash, the encounter was mooted to be one of the more “fun” fixtures of the weekend, and it attracted a high-profile figure to the stands.

Everton have chance to continue unbeaten run

While the season as a whole has been fairly dismal, the recent run that the Toffees have found themselves on has been cause for optimism. While Nottingham Forest will provide a stern test, Everton have every chance of making it five unbeaten.

However, being unbeaten doesn’t mean an awful lot if you showcase an incapability to win games, which has certainly been the case for the Merseysiders this campaign.

Iliman Ndiaye was the hero against Man City and those qualities will be needed once again if Everton are to secure victory against the Premier League high-flyers.

Rooney will undoubtedly be keen to watch the Toffees continue their impressive run given the role her husband previously had at the club.

A win for the Toffees will do little for their league position given the four-point gap from Manchester United, but a defeat could send them down into 17th depending on other results.
