Arsenal could earn more than £54million in increased revenue by tapping into opportunities in the US market, sources have told Football Insider.

The CLV Group CEO Neil Joyce exclusively revealed to Football Insider the north London giants have an opportunity to drive “significant growth” in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup as they look to monetise the American market.

There is estimated to be up to £860million on offer to European clubs in additional revenue ahead of the tournament, which will be held in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Interest in the Premier League has soared in recent years as the most-watched league in the world continues to increase its global appeal.

The Premier League’s current broadcasting deal with NBC in America is worth a reported £2billion, which is around 20 per cent of the league’s entire broadcast revenue.

Arsenal are one of nine top-flight clubs set to tour the US this summer, with an estimated 36.5 million American football fans believed to be undecided about which European team they want to support.

That means Premier League sides heading to the US in the coming weeks have the opportunity to increase their following by three to five times over the next year.

Arsenal could tap into US market to increase commercial revenue

There are believed to be around 3.5 million Arsenal-supporting American fans the club aren’t currently connecting with, opening up the possibility to grow their commercial revenue significantly in the build-up to the 2026 World Cup.

Joyce told Football Insider Arsenal could earn up to £54.7million in extra revenue from the US market over the next two years due to the opportunities on offer to increase their fanbase.

That is on par with the £50million-a-year deal Mikel Arteta’s side signed last year with Emirates to continue as their front-of-shirt sponsor.

Arsenal will jet out to the US for their pre-season tour later this month, where they will play Bournemouth, Manchester United and Liverpool in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
