Exclusive: Man United and Liverpool have just contacted representatives of 'unbelievable' Bayern Munich player
This would be some signing! ????
- EXCLUSIVE from Graeme Bailey
Manchester United and Liverpool have not been competing against each other in the Premier League for a number of years now.
However, the pair now find themselves going head-to-head over a transfer target ahead of this summer’s window.
A new dawn is being promised at Manchester United following the arrival of Ruben Amorim whilst Liverpool are benefitting from Arne Slot’s appointment.

There is a whopping 16 points separating the two sides in the league table with the Reds setting the pace at the top.
But this is not stopping the Red Devils from showing some ambition ahead of the summer as TBR Football understands both Liverpool and Man United have contacted the representatives of Alphonso Davies.
Man United and Liverpool keen on Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies
Sources have told TBR both United and Liverpool view Davies’ contract debacle as an opportunity ‘too good’ to ignore.
But they are not the only sides showing an interest in the left-back with Real Madrid seriously keen on Davies ahead of the summer.
Bayern Munich have re-engaged in talks and are hopeful that they have persuaded him to think again about a move to Spain.
Davies was on Dan Ashworth’s radar at Newcastle United which has transferred over to his position at Old Trafford.
Bayern want to retain Davies as they line up a perfect 2025 – which would see new deals for Davies, Jamal Musiala and Joshua Kimmich whilst also sealing a deal for Florian Wirtz.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also keen to land Davies
Davies has been hailed as ‘unbelievable’ for his immense speed which would appeal to any side across Europe.
And the two Premier League giants are not the only sides in England keen, with Arsenal and Chelsea also keeping an eye on the 24-year-old.
Whilst Madrid remain confident, TBR are told by sources at the Santiago Bernabeu that they acknowledge a deal is not finalised, but they are still hopeful of securing his signature.
Despite his ongoing contract saga, Davies has remained a key part of Bayern’s starting XI this season having racked up three assists across all competitions.
Ruben Amorim has praised Luke Shaw’s work behind the scenes at United, but this could mark a major statement if any Premier League side can acquire the Canadian.
