Rangers defender Connor Goldson has put his exit talks on hold despite flying out to meet Aris Limassol, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper reported via its online edition on 23 July that no agreement has been reached between the 31-year-old and the Cypriot club.
The centre-back is back in the squad named by Philippe Clement for the tribute match in honour of the late Trevor Francis.
Rangers must offer Connor Goldson around to drive up interest
Gers must actively market Goldson to other clubs to maximise interest and potential transfer fees.
By showcasing his experience, leadership and defensive skills, the Ibrox outfit can attract a wider range of suitors, increasing competition and driving up his market value.
This approach not only helps Rangers raise funds but also allows them to build a more competitive and balanced squad for the future.
Clement will surely be aware of the club’s need to sell Goldson and reinvest the funds in the team.
By promoting Goldson’s availability, the Belgian can accelerate the process of finding a suitable buyer and securing the best possible deal.
This proactive strategy not only benefits the club financially but also sends a clear message to other players that the Scottish side are committed to building a competitive team capable of challenging for top honours.
In other Rangers news, the club are now set to make a bid to seal summer transfer No.7 with James Tavernier’s sale funding it.
