'Final stages': Tottenham now close to agreeing £12.7m sale - Fabrizio Romano

Tottenham are close to bringing in more funds to potentially the squad with a £12.7m sale now in the final stages.

Spurs are looking to do business both in terms of incomings and outgoings before the season starts and there are a number of moving parts at play.

As we know, Tottenham hold an interest in players like Dominic Solanke and Eberechi Eze but there’s also an awareness that some sales might be needed to help those deals along.

So far, Tottenham have already sold Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Rodon, while the likes of Bryan Gil and Japhet Tanganga have also sealed exits.

However, another player, Emerson Royal, is also close to the exit door, with AC Milan the club most keen on taking the Brazilian.

And now, according to Fabrizio Romano, a deal is now very close to being done.

Taking to X to provide an update on the situation with Royal leaving Tottenham for Milan, Fabrizio Romano has said that things are now at the final stages.

According to Romano, Tottenham will receive a fee just shy of £13m for Royal, while there is potential for further fees in add-ons as well.

This one has lingered one for some time now and it’s going to be in everyone’s best interests to get this over the line now.

Thankfully for Tottenham, it does look like they are getting at least a decent chunk of money back for the Brazilian.

This new advance builds on similar suggestions yesterday that claimed things were moving in the right direction when it came to Royal and Milan.

Now, it looks like the deal is about to be signed off and sealed and for Tottenham fans, they’ll be hoping it leads to more incomings.
