'Friday latest' - Four Lads share timeline update on imminent new Rangers signing

Rangers are set to complete the signing of FC Twente defender Robin Propper by “Friday latest”, according to Four Lads Had A Dream.

Writing on their personal X account (31 July), the news outlet and fan podcast shared an update on the news regarding Propper’s imminent arrival.

According to the Daily Record [31 July], the Gers could pay up to £2.7million to sign the 30-year-old.

Four Lads posted: “Deal for Robin Propper (as per various reports this morning) is done subject to a medical which the player is currently down south for now.

“All going well he will complete the move tomorrow, Friday latest. Deal confirmed minus any last minute glitches.”

This summer was always expected to be a busy one for Rangers and so it has proved. Philippe Clement has overseen a massive overhaul – one that will hopefully pay off.

Propper is set to become the Gers’ latest signing and he certainly seems like a defender who ticks plenty of boxes. Even without Connor Goldson leaving, another new defender was needed.

Propper skippers Dutch side Twente and has played over 200 games in the Dutch top flight, so he certainly does not lack when it comes to experience.

The big issue is just how long it will take to get these newbies to click, but there is no doubt that some fresh new talent was required before the new season begins.

All going well, Propper will be in place at Ibrox in the next 48 hours and could be in contention for the season opener against Hearts on 3 August.
