Tottenham Hotspur are likely to be busy in the latter stages of the transfer window, with deadline day now just over three weeks away.
Spurs have made two new signings so far this summer, but they could well look to step up their interest in targets now August is under way.
Tottenham have brought England prodigy Archie Gray to N17 and also got Gangwon FC gem Yang Min-hyeok on their books, though he won’t join the Lilywhites until next year.
Spurs are said to be looking for new midfielders this summer, despite already having brought in one of the best young midfielders around in Gray.
However, there will be targets who invariably slip through the net. Fabrizio Romano says one such player is now set to join a Champions League side instead.

Tottenham target Conor Gallagher now set for Atletico Madrid
The player in question is Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, a player who has been heavily linked with Tottenham for a number of months now.
Indeed, Dean Jones told GiveMeSport earlier this year that Gallagher is Spurs’ ‘dream’ signing in the number eight position.
However, Romano has now declared “here we go” on Gallagher to Atletico Madrid, saying he has agreed a five-year contract in the Spanish capital.
Chelsea are set to receive around £36million for the 24-year-old, whose medical has been booked for Wednesday, added Romano.
Tottenham must look elsewhere for midfield reinforcements
And so it looks like this transfer saga has come to an end. Barring a dramatic late twist, the Tottenham target is now Atletico-bound.
Many Spurs fans will probably be pleased that the Gallagher to N17 rumours are now set to come to an end, it has to be said.
That said, with just over three weeks left before deadline day, Tottenham will now need to look elsewhere for reinforcements in the middle of the park.
Elsewhere on the Spurs rumour mill, the Lilywhites continue to be linked with Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke.
Meanwhile, Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is reportedly closing in on a move to AC Milan.
