'I really like it': Gianfranco Zola says he is a huge fan of £13m Chelsea star yet to play in PL this season

Chelsea have to start delivering sooner rather than later.

After spending hundreds and hundreds of millions, especially on young talent, you don’t blame the Chelsea faithful for becoming impatient.

At the end of the day, since the turn of the century, Chelsea fans have been used to pure dominance under Roman Abramovich, so this new strategy has taken a while to get used to.

There have been some players who have left you bewildered with their performances and you worry for their future.

Mykhailo Mudryk continues to struggle at Chelsea, but on the other side, Cole Palmer is now one of the best in the Premier League.

If the London club can build stability with their new manager Enzo Maresca, and not change every season, then it will bode well for the young stars and their progression.

One man in Chelsea’s ranks is well-known by club legend Gianfranco Zola and he has high hopes for the player.

Cesare Casadei is yet to play in the Premier League this season, but Zola shared that he is a huge fan of the player after watching him in the youth ranks.

The 21-year-old was on Inter’s books as a youngster and he moved to Stamford Bridge for £13 million in 2022.

Fast forward to the present and Zola is praying that ‘he can make it’ because he likes what he sees so far, as posted by Hayters TV.

“I have a high esteem of him,” shared Zola. “I saw him playing youth level. I saw him at Leicester and I really like it.

“He really needs to have a chance and the competition is strong at Chelsea. But strong competition makes strong players, so I hope he can make it.”

Cole Palmer leading the way at Chelsea

If anyone wants to doubt Chelsea, then currently look at their league position, where they are sat fourth and have only lost one game in all competitions.

Added to that, Palmer is leading the way and is proof that this strategy the club has gone down is working wonders.

That one signing is worth five others not working because even Pep Guardiola probably now regrets Manchester City letting go of the player.

But what is Manchester City’s loss is now Chelsea’s gain and a lot more!
