'Interesting' - Journo reacts to behind-the-scenes Clement footage shared by Rangers

Rangers supporters have seen a new side to Philippe Clement after new behind-the-scenes footage emerged of pre-season training, according to Joshua Barrie.

The Light Blues are continuing their preparations for the upcoming Premiership campaign with a pre-season training camp in the Netherlands and fixtures against Standard Liege and Ajax.

While supporters couldn’t watch the 0-0 draw with the Belgian side, Rangers Review journalist Barrie believes fans will have a better understanding of Clement’s style after footage emerged of him in training.

Writing on X on Friday (12 July) Barrie said: “Interesting insight into how Clement wants his No.10 to play at 1.30ish – attacking the box after getting the ball there.

“Says to Lowry: ‘It’s good to available and playing but don’t stand still after, follow through the action you need to be hungry to score.'”

Are Rangers close to any new additions in the summer transfer window?

There has rightly or wrongly been a feeling of frustration around Rangers supporters over the last couple of weeks or so due to the current situation around Ibrox and the lack of action during the summer transfer window.

It is clear the Light Blues need a fair few more additions to close the gap to Celtic at the top of the Premiership table this season and fans will be hoping the recruitment team move quickly to get some deals over the line.

But the new footage coming out of the pre-season training camp shows that there is still plenty to be positive about from a Gers perspective at this stage of the summer, even if there is plenty to work on.

Clement is quite clearly an excellent coach and that was visible during his first campaign in Glasgow (barring a poor end to the season) and with the right players at his disposal, he can lead a team to the title.

Hopefully, the Belgian’s hunger for players to score will rub off on the playing squad ahead of the new campaign and they can start the season in an impressive fashion.
