Tottenham Hotspur teenage starlet Han Willhoft-King has agreed a move to Manchester City having been plucked from a move to the United States, according to Alan Nixon.
The journalist reported via his Patreon page [8 September] that the highly-rated Spurs Under-18 midfielder has seen his next planned move hijacked by City, with whom he has accepted an offer.
Willhoft-King had previously rejected a new contract offer at Tottenham, and was set to accept a scholarship at the renowned UCLA in Los Angeles – a top sporting college across the pond.
But the academy product, who had been at the club since the age of six, is now understood to have agreed upon a counter offer from City and will stay in England, moving north.

Should Willhoft-King make the first-team breakthrough at Manchester City, Spurs will feel haunted should he come back to bite his former side.
The midfielder has been courted globally having appeared for England Under-16s and is eligible for several nations including the USMNT, China and Indonesia through family heritage.
Two years ago, The Guardian [27 September 2022] named Willhoft-King as the best Tottenham player of his age, and was claimed to have an extremely bright future.
Described in Nixon’s report as a “bright student”, it appears the teenage talent has exhibited an all-round promise and could be a huge asset for City moving forward.
The late hijack represents a double blow for the North Londoners, who will be taking measures to ensure there is an encouraging pathway to keep as many of their prized prospects as possible.
