Rangers express interest to sign £1.7m+ winger with 12 G+A in 23/24 - report

Rangers have expressed their interest in securing a permanent transfer for Excelsior striker Couhaib Driouech, according to FC Update.

The news outlet reported on 27 June that the Dutch side are looking for more than £1.7million to part ways with the 22-year-old striker.

PSV offered them £1.7million but it was not enough to convince Excelsior to sell the Moroccan this summer.

Couhaib Driouech would be a good signing for Rangers

As a left winger, who’s also capable of playing on the right, the 22-year-old bagged six goals and six assists in the Eredivise last season.

The 22-year-old striker has shown significant potential and skill during his time at Excelsior in the Netherlands and it’s clear that the Ibrox outfit want a forward this summer.

His ability to play as a wide midfielder or a forward will provide Gers with tactical flexibility, allowing them to adapt their gameplay to different opponents.

Driouech’s speed and agility make him a formidable player in the attacking third, capable of creating scoring opportunities and breaking through defensive lines and he could be similar to Abdallah Sima.

Furthermore, Driouech’s performances have attracted attention from other clubs and this interest is a testament to his talent and potential.

His youth also means that he has room to grow and develop further under the guidance of experienced coaches at Ibrox.
