Rangers fans despair at new footage as Philippe Clement injury crisis deepens

Rangers fans have been left fearing the worst after Neraysho Kasanwirjo was forced off for the Netherlands Under 21s during their friendly with England on Monday night.

After Dane Scarlett opened the scoring for England just five minutes into the game, the Dutch would earn a draw with less than ten minutes remaining.

Thom van Bergen’s goal was enough to secure a draw for the Netherlands, ensuring both sides shared the spoils when it came to the result.

It was though, a more concerning night for Kasanwirjo, who himself came on as a substitute just 13 minutes into the game.

However, shortly before his side found their equaliser the defender landed awkwardly while looking to control the ball inside the England penalty area.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Rangers from Feyenoord, and has made 12 appearances in all competitions for Philippe Clement’s side this season.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo may face time out for Rangers

Having endured that worrying moment inside the England area, the 22-year-old was unable to continue, being substituted himself after just over an hour on the pitch.

Rangers supporters have been left concerned by that setback ahead of a key run of fixtures, with some believing he has suffered a “cruciate” problem, and others suggesting the club is “cursed”.

If the injury is serious the loanee would join the likes of Oscar Cortes, Rabbi Matondo, Danilo, Ridvan Yilmaz and Tom Lawrence in missing significant time in yet another campaign beset by fitness problems at Ibrox.

It would also knock out one of the replacements for embattled captain James Tavernier and make for an even greater headache for under-pressure manager Philippe Clement.
