Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has claimed that he is now “ready for a new challenge” away from Old Trafford.
The Red Devils star told journalist Henry Winter that he’s thinking of the “next steps” and described leaving the club as a matter of “when” rather than if.
Rashford has endured a difficult year at Manchester United, with just eight Premier League goals to his name in 2024, and was left out of the squad for the Manchester derby.
The £300,000-a-week (Salarysport) ace’s comments come in wake of speculation linking him with a move away from Old Trafford.

Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford says he’s ‘ready for a new challenge’
On Tuesday, Marcus Rashford returned to his old primary school, Button Lane in south Manchester, and handed out Christmas presents to all the pupils.
In an interview shared by Winter on his X account, Rashford said: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps.
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse.
“I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
Rashford added: “It’s disheartening to be left out of a derby but it’s happened, we won the game so let’s move on.
“It’s disappointing but I’m also someone as I’ve got older I can deal with setbacks. What am I going to do about it? Sit there and cry about it. Or do my best the next time I’m available.”
Man United’s stance towards Rashford future
TBR Football transfer expert Graeme Bailey has revealed that Man United are happy with Rashford – and he is keen to impress Amorim with no decision taken on his future right now.
Bailey has also confirmed that Rashford is not keen on a move to the Saudi Pro League, who are showing an interest in the England international.
It has been reported that the Red Devils would not sell Rashford for less than £70million.
The 27-year-old scored 30 goals for Man United in the 2022/23 campaign, but has not been able to build on that impressive tally.
