Report: Former Liverpool player who Jurgen Klopp called 'world class' left embarrassed after Indian club reject him
Wow...????
During Jurgen Klopp’s era at Liverpool, the club shifted and brought in a plethora of players.
Klopp became Liverpool’s manager in October 2015 and had to offload a number of players who he considered not up to par.
Despite waxing lyrical about him in the media, he sanctioned the sale of a striker in 2016 and he’s now just been rejected by an Indian Super League club.
Mario Balotelli rejected Kerala Blasters
Mario Balotelli, who Klopp once labelled ‘world class’ (via Irish Independent), left Liverpool in the summer of 2016.
Since then, the Italian striker has plied his trade at a number of clubs across the continent with his latest being Turkish side Adana Demirspor.
Now, the free agent has just been left embarrassed after being rejected by Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters, according to the Daily Mail.
They decided to snub the opportunity to sign Balotelli due to his reputation and disciplinary record – with footage emerging of him lighting a small firework in the Demispor dressing room earlier this year.
So, the 34-year-old remains available on a free transfer.
Mario Balotelli statistics
Balotelli has reinvented himself at a number of clubs since his Liverpool exit and even got back into the Italian national team.
Last season, the former City frontman netted seven in 16 outings in the Super Lig, so evidently he still has a lot to offer.
Across his entire career, Balotelli has scored a staggering 210 goals in 495 appearances.
