'Shambolic Mess' - Four Lads reveals 'Anger' among fans as Rangers sent PR message

Rangers have been told to improve their PR game by Four Lads Had a Dream’s Stevie Clifford amid the handling of the Ibrox situation.

He also believes that had John Bennett issued a statement earlier, things would’ve not looked as bad as they currently are.

There’s still not understood to be a fixed date for when Ibrox will be ready to host matches next season.

Clifford told Rangers Review on 13 July: “The chairman could counter that criticism by saying the team at Ibrox is strong enough but the fact is we’re without several key staffing positions throughout the club.

“Regardless, Rangers’ stadium situation has been a shambolic mess. The fans deserve so much better.
Yes, the statement this week was welcome but it was a holding statement that was weeks overdue and told the fans nothing concrete. That’s where the anger came from.

“Rather than reacting to fan pressure, that statement should’ve arrived long before. There’s no doubt that a PR win is required soon to lift the spirits of all who follow Rangers, with a general anger present in the support.

“The statement would have landed better if it had dropped earlier, but it was at least an apology and hopefully the beginning of something better. There’s no doubt that the club need to learn from this and become more aware of supporter’s feelings. Communication will always be key at Rangers.”

Rangers have to bring fans back onside

Gers can regain their fans’ support by improving communication and transparency.

The club should provide regular updates on the stadium situation, addressing concerns and offering clear timelines and not making the sort of mistakes they have recently.

Engaging with supporters through fan forums, surveys and social media can help rebuild trust and show that their voices are being heard.

Additionally, they should focus on strengthening the team and delivering success on the pitch.

Investing in quality players and a competitive squad can help restore optimism among the fanbase.

The club should also ensure that key positions are filled promptly to maintain operational efficiency.

Offering fan-friendly initiatives, such as ticket promotions or community events, can help rebuild the bond between the club and the supporters.

In other Rangers news, the club are expected to intensify their pursuit to sign Lawrence Shankland after a recent transfer development.
