Sean Dyche remains under pressure at Everton as The Friedkin Group still have reservations about the boss’ long-term future at the club.

This is according to Mick Brown, the former chief scout and previous number two to Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the new owners would want a new boss in charge when they move to their new stadium.

This comes after Football Insider revealed on 2 October that there is a feeling in The Friedkin Group that Dyche wouldn’t be the right man to lead them into a new era.

It was announced on 24 September that the group, headed by Dan Friedkin, had reached an agreement to purchase Farhad Moshiri’s 94.1% stake in the club.

Since then, pressure on Dyche’s position has been growing amid numerous reports that the incoming owners will look to head in their own direction.

This followed a difficult start to the season at Goodison Park, but Dyche’s side have now taken five points from their last three league games.

However, with the likes of Jose Mourinho linked with the job, Brown has confessed he believes the owners could move quickly to replace the current boss.

Brown previously told Football Insider that Mourinho could turn down the opportunity at Everton if the new ownership chooses to part ways with the current boss.

Now, the former Man United, Sunderland and Aston Villa scout, who remains well-connected within the game, explained that the new ownership will still be looking for an “all-singing-all-dancing” boss to take the reins from Dyche.

They’ve got to be very, very careful with what they do,” he told Football Insider.

The people at the top could get giddy with moving to a new ground and decide they want to start changing things ahead of the move.

I’ve heard there are still some concerns about Dyche.

“I wouldn’t be surprised to see them bring in a new manager who’s a bit more flashy maybe.

“But they’ve got to have a team to match it, and that’s not easy to do.

Especially with the situation Everton have been in, the manager has got to work well with the players he’s got at his disposal.

“That’s what Dyche has done well. He’s done really well for them.

“If they’re going to this new stadium and they sack the manager, then all of a sudden the team aren’t performing, where do they go from there?

“I’d warn them to be careful what they wish for in that case.”
