Sources: Club in advanced talks to sign Leeds player

Leeds United midfielder Marc Roca is in advanced talks with Real Betis about a permanent deal to join the club, sources have told Football Insider.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at the La Liga side, and after that deal expires at the end of June, a permanent move is expected to be completed by next week.

Roca is expected to be the first permanent departure from Elland Road this summer, ending his two-year spell with the club.

His contract with the Whites expires in 2026, but his two-year spell with the West Yorkshire club is likely to come to an end before that.

He had been a regular in his first season with the club, playing 32 times in the Premier League, but he departed for his loan move before playing a game in the Championship.

Roca evidently did enough to impress Manuel Pellegrini last season if the Spanish outfit is pushing to bring him back on a full-time basis.

The midfielder made 37 appearances across all competitions and became a mainstay in the Real Betis squad in the league and in Europe.

Despite being a defensive-minded player, Roca scored four goals last season, and had three assists.

While one midfielder could be on his way out of Elland Road, another could be on his way in as Leeds United are in talks to sign Coventry City star Callum O’Hare.

It’s a potential transfer that has excited Leeds fans as the Whites prepare to mount another promotion campaign.
