Tottenham supporters will be concerned about Son Heung-min’s performance for South Korea against Palestine on Thursday (5 September).
Son has now played four matches for club and country this season, with the 32-year-old scoring in just one of those matches.
That was a double against a pretty lacklustre Everton side who were thrashed 4-0 by Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 24 August.
Against Leicester City and Newcastle United, Son didn’t provide much of a goal threat, something which has been a problem for most of Spurs’ forwards thus far this season.
Therefore, supporters would have been hoping that a favourable fixture against Palestine would have offered the forward a perfect opportunity to rediscover his shooting boots.
However, the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier ended 0-0 between the two sides, with Son’s performance suggesting he is still a player struggling to find his best form.

A manager’s biggest priority during an international break is that all his key players return fit.
However, it is also a nice boost when those players have put in some positive performances too, as it means they return to their clubs full of confidence.
But after South Korea’s disappointing result on Thursday, it is safe to say that Son’s confidence has probably taken a hit.
The Tottenham captain excelled in some parts of the game, creating one big chance, playing three key passes and providing two accurate crosses into the box (Sofascore).
In addition, he was accurate with 100 per cent of his long balls and completed 81 per cent of his passes. However, other aspects of his game showed a player not at his best.
Son failed to get on the scoresheet, hitting the woodwork and missing one big chance. Of his three shots, none of them were on target, and he was successful with just one of his three dribble attempts.
He also won just two of his six ground duels, while giving possession away 14 times.
While Postecoglou would be wise not to read too much into it, the Australian, and Spurs supporters, will no doubt be slightly concerned about another lacklustre Son performance.
In other Tottenham news, one player on loan from the club is making Postecoglou look silly with his recent performances.
